The First Codicil of Thomas G Collett (Ref. 6O2) of Mangaroa

 

was made on 7th July 1908

 

 

 

 

 

This is a Codicil to the Last Will and Testament of me Thomas George Collett of Mangaroa in the Provincial District of Wellington and Dominion of New Zealand, Farmer 

 

In addition to the legacies bequeathed by my said Last Will and Testament I give and bequeath unto each of my daughters Elizabeth Sarah Goss, wife of William Goss of Nireaha near Eketahuna in the Provincial District of Wellington and Dominion aforesaid farmer, and Emily Alice Benge, wife of John Thomas Benge of the Upper Hutt in the Provincial District of Wellington aforesaid Blacksmith, the sum of Twenty Five Pounds (£25) and I direct that the aforesaid legacies of Twenty Five Pounds (£25) shall be a charge upon section two hundred and ninety three (293) and part section two hundred and ninety four (294) on the plan of the Hutt District devised and bequeathed to my son William Herbert Collett and shall be paid within six calendar months of the date of my decease together with interest thereon at the rate of Four Pounds (£4) per centum per annum payable half-yearly

 

And I further declare and direct that the two foregoing legacies of Twenty Five Pounds (£25) shall be for the sole and separate use of the respective legatees and that free from the debts control or engagements of any husband and that by this Codicil modified or varied thereby confirm my said Will

Signed by the said Thomas George Collett as and for a Codicil to his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at his request in his sight and presence and in the sight and presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses
